Michael Goldman - Mortgage Broker of the year 2008

Manchester based mortgage broker Michael Goldman was awarded the title of Mortgage Broker of the year 2008 for the Prime category. The award, sponsored by Halifax was in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the mortgage industry over the last 12 months. This is the second time in 3 years Michael has been awarded this honour, having won the award in 2006 & runner up in 2007.

Michael received his award from comedian and television star Rob Brydon during a gala dinner held at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Michael commented “It is a great honour to have been nominated for such a prestigious award and I am of course delighted to have re-gained the title. Once again I would like to express my appreciation to my team of mortgage advisers and administration staff without whom, this achievement would not have been possible. Most of all I would like to thank my clients, lenders & business partners who voted for me & for their extremely kind supporting testimonials”

The winners were selected using a transparent 2-tier process designed to make the selection as fair and as independent as possible. Following a nomination and voting process, all votes were counted and a short list was comprised. Testimonials were then requested for each of the short listed candidates outlining exactly why that person on the short list should win.

The second stage of the process involved a review of the testimonials by a hand-picked group of senior industry experts, who came together to sit on a judging panel.
